Cortical Neurons

Cortical neurons are specialized cells located in the brain's outer layer, called the cortex, which is responsible for complex functions like thinking, memory, perception, and decision-making. These neurons communicate with each other through electrical signals and chemical messengers, forming intricate networks that process information. Each neuron receives signals from other neurons, processes this information, and then passes it on to influence behavior and cognition. Their organization and connectivity enable the brain to interpret sensory input, learn, and adapt, making them fundamental to our mental functions and experiences.
