Corte Penal Internacional

The Corte Penal Internacional (ICC) or International Criminal Court is a global entity established to investigate and prosecute individuals for serious international crimes such as genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes. It aims to ensure accountability when national courts are unable or unwilling to act and promotes justice for victims. The ICC operates independently of any government, based in The Hague, Netherlands, and works to uphold international law, prevent impunity, and promote peace and justice worldwide. It only intervenes in cases that fall under its jurisdiction and when state authorities are unable or unwilling to prosecute.
