Copeland's phalanger
Copeland's phalanger, also known as the greater glider, is a small marsupial native to Australia and New Guinea. It belongs to the family of possums and is notable for its large eyes and soft, dense fur. These nocturnal creatures are excellent gliders, using a membrane between their front and back legs to soar between trees in search of food, primarily leaves. They play a crucial role in their ecosystem by helping to maintain forest health. Unfortunately, habitat loss poses a threat to their populations, making conservation efforts important for their survival.
