Control characters

Control characters are special characters in computing that do not represent printable symbols like letters or numbers. Instead, they instruct machines on how to process text. For example, they can indicate the start or end of a line, create spaces, or signal a tab. Common control characters include "newline" (moving to the next line) and "tab" (inserting a tab space). Though invisible when displayed, they play a crucial role in formatting and controlling data within computers, helping ensure that text is organized and displayed correctly.
