A contract-to-hire arrangement is an employment approach where a worker is hired for a temporary period, usually through a staffing agency or directly by a company, with the hope of eventually becoming a permanent employee. During the contract phase, both the employer and the worker assess compatibility and performance. If the employer is satisfied, they may offer the worker a full-time, permanent position. This process allows the employer to evaluate the worker’s skills firsthand before making a long-term commitment, and it provides the worker an opportunity to see if the job is a good fit prior to permanent hiring.
