Contextual Semantics
Contextual semantics is the study of how the meaning of words and phrases changes based on the situation in which they are used. In general knowledge, it emphasizes that understanding depends on context, such as who is speaking, where the conversation takes place, or the topic at hand. For example, the word "bank" can refer to a financial institution or the side of a river, depending on how it’s used. Contextual semantics helps clarify communication by recognizing that meaning is not fixed but can shift based on various influencing factors.
