
Consejo Permanente
The Consejo Permanente, or Permanent Council, is the main policymaking body of the Organization of American States (OAS). It convenes regularly to discuss and coordinate efforts on regional issues like democracy, human rights, security, and development across the Americas. Comprising representatives from member countries, it facilitates diplomatic dialogue, decision-making, and the implementation of programs. Essentially, it serves as a platform for member states to collaborate on common challenges, develop strategies, and promote stability and cooperation within the region.
