Conductive Keratoplasty (CK)
Conductive Keratoplasty (CK) is a minimally invasive eye procedure used to treat vision problems, particularly for people with presbyopia, or age-related difficulty focusing on close objects. During CK, a specialist applies radiofrequency energy to specific points on the cornea, the eye's outer layer. This process reshapes the cornea, improving the eye’s focusing ability. CK is often considered for patients who may not be suitable candidates for laser eye surgery or who have cataracts but want better near vision. The procedure is quick, typically performed in an office, with minimal discomfort and a short recovery time.
