Conconi Test
The Conconi Test is a method used by runners and athletes to estimate their maximum aerobic capacity and cardio fitness. During the test, they run steadily while a device measures their heart rate and speed. As the pace increases, heart rate also rises until it reaches a point where it can no longer keep up with the speed increase; this point indicates the athlete's anaerobic threshold—the transition between aerobic and anaerobic energy systems. Recognizing this threshold helps in designing effective training plans to improve endurance and performance.
