Compression of Morbidity

Compression of Morbidity refers to the goal of reducing the length of time individuals live with illness or disability at the end of their lives. The idea is to delay the onset of age-related health problems so that people remain healthy and active longer, experiencing illness only briefly before passing away. This approach aims to improve quality of life and decrease healthcare costs by minimizing the years of diminished health. Essentially, it's about compressing the period of ill health into as short a time as possible at the end of life, allowing more years of good health in old age.
