Complementarianism
Complementarianism is a theological view held by some Christians that emphasizes distinct roles for men and women, particularly in family and church settings. It asserts that while men and women are equal in worth and value, they have different, complementary roles based on their gender. For example, men might be seen as leaders in the home and church, while women are encouraged to support and nurture. This perspective often stems from certain interpretations of biblical texts, suggesting that these differences are part of God’s design for relationships and society.
