Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC)
The Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) is a regional organization founded in 2011, aimed at fostering cooperation and dialogue among countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. It seeks to promote political integration, economic development, and social progress while addressing common challenges like poverty, inequality, and climate change. CELAC consists of 33 member countries and emphasizes solidarity and unity, reflecting the region's diversity and shared interests. Unlike other regional groups, CELAC does not include the United States or Canada, focusing instead on strengthening ties among Latin American and Caribbean nations.
