Color Vision

Color vision is our ability to perceive different colors through specialized cells in our eyes called cone cells. These cells detect light wavelengths: short (blue), medium (green), and long (red). Our brain interprets the signals from these cones to produce the wide range of colors we see in the world. Most people have three types of cones, which allow for detailed color perception, while some individuals have fewer cones and see fewer colors. This system helps us distinguish objects, see patterns, and enjoy a vibrant visual experience.
