Cologuard
Cologuard is a non-invasive test designed to screen for colorectal cancer. It works by analyzing a stool sample for specific DNA and blood markers that may indicate the presence of cancer or precancerous conditions. This test is an alternative to traditional colonoscopy and can be done at home, then sent to a lab for analysis. It is recommended for adults aged 45 and older or those at higher risk for colorectal cancer. If Cologuard results are positive, further testing, such as a colonoscopy, is typically advised for confirmation and evaluation.
