Coelophysis bauri

Coelophysis bauri was a small, fast-running dinosaur that lived about 200 million years ago during the late Triassic period. It measured around 10 to 20 feet long and had a slender, lightweight body with a long neck and tail, aiding in agility. Its sharp teeth and claws suggest it was a carnivore, hunting small animals and possibly scavenging. As one of the earliest known theropods, Coelophysis helps scientists understand the evolution of predatory dinosaurs. Fossils found in North America show it was likely a social animal, living or hunting in groups.
