Coconut Tree

A coconut tree, scientifically known as Cocos nucifera, is a tall, slender palm tree common in tropical coastal regions. It produces coconuts, which are large, round fruits containing water, flesh, and oil. The tree has a straight trunk topped with a crown of large, feathery leaves called fronds. It serves multiple purposes: coconuts provide food, drink, and oil; the wood and leaves are used in construction and crafts; and the tree helps prevent erosion along shorelines. Adapted to sandy soils and saltwater, coconut trees thrive in warm, humid climates and are vital to many coastal communities worldwide.
