CoAP Group

A CoAP (Constrained Application Protocol) Group is a way to send messages to multiple devices simultaneously within the Internet of Things (IoT). Imagine you have several smart lights in your home, and you want to turn them all on at once. Instead of sending individual commands to each light, you create a group labeled “Living Room Lights,” and send a single message to that group. All devices in the group receive and respond to the message collectively. This simplifies management, reduces network traffic, and enhances efficiency in controlling multiple devices together.
