CO2 sequestration
CO2 sequestration is the process of capturing and storing carbon dioxide (CO2) to prevent it from entering the atmosphere, thus helping to reduce climate change. This can be achieved through natural methods, like planting trees that absorb CO2 during photosynthesis, or technological approaches, such as capturing CO2 emissions from power plants and storing it underground in geological formations. By trapping CO2, we aim to decrease greenhouse gas levels, mitigate global warming, and protect the environment for future generations.
