Cloud classification system

The cloud classification system organizes clouds based on their appearance and altitude. It uses Latin names and letters: the main types are Cirrus (wispy, high clouds), Cumulus (puffy, lower clouds), and Stratus (layered, widespread clouds). These are further divided by altitude: high clouds (above 20,000 feet), middle clouds (6,500-20,000 feet), and low clouds (below 6,500 feet). Combining these categories helps meteorologists describe and predict weather patterns more precisely, offering a systematic way to identify clouds and understand their role in the atmosphere.
