Clerical resistance
Clerical resistance refers to the refusal or non-cooperation of clerical workers, such as administrative staff, during political or social upheavals. It involves them resisting orders or directives from authorities, often to protect their own interests, assert neutrality, or due to loyalty to a different side. This resistance can weaken the efforts of governments or regimes to maintain control, as those responsible for administrative functions choose to withhold support or actively oppose leadership, influencing the overall course of events during conflicts or revolutions.
