Claus von Stauffenberg
Claus von Stauffenberg was a German army officer and aristocrat who became a key figure in resisting Nazi Germany. During World War II, he covertly opposed Adolf Hitler's regime and plans for continued war. In 1944, he co-led a failed assassination attempt on Hitler, known as the July 20 plot, intending to overthrow the Nazi government and save Germany from further devastation. Stauffenberg was captured and executed for his involvement. His actions are remembered as courageous efforts to oppose tyranny and fight for moral principles within a brutal dictatorship.
