Circadian Theory
Circadian Theory explains that many biological processes in our bodies follow a roughly 24-hour cycle called the circadian rhythm. This internal clock influences sleep-wake patterns, hormone release, body temperature, and other physiological functions. It is primarily regulated by external cues like light and darkness, helping our bodies synchronize with the natural day-night cycle. Maintaining a consistent daily schedule and exposure to natural light supports this internal timing, promoting better sleep, alertness, and overall health. Disruption of these rhythms, such as jet lag or irregular sleep habits, can negatively affect physical and mental well-being.
