CIN classification
CIN (Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia) classification describes abnormal cell growth on the cervix, the lower part of the uterus, and helps determine the severity. It is graded as CIN 1, 2, or 3: CIN 1 indicates mild abnormal changes and often resolves on its own; CIN 2 shows moderate abnormality, with a higher chance of progressing; CIN 3 involves severe changes and is considered a high-grade lesion that needs medical attention to prevent cervical cancer. This classification guides doctors in deciding appropriate follow-up or treatment.
