CIE Color Space
The CIE Color Space is a standardized system developed by the International Commission on Illumination to represent all perceivable colors based on human vision. It uses three values—called coordinates—to describe any color: X, Y, and Z. These coordinates correspond to how our eyes perceive red, green, and blue light, allowing consistent color communication across devices and industries. Essentially, the CIE Color Space creates a common language for colors, ensuring that a specific color looks the same on screens, printers, or paints everywhere. It’s a scientific foundation for accurate color measurement and reproduction.
