CHT Land Commission

The CHT Land Commission, or Chittagong Hill Tracts Land Commission, was established in Bangladesh to address land disputes and protect the rights of indigenous communities in the Chittagong Hill Tracts region. This area has a diverse population, including various indigenous groups whose land rights were often overlooked. The Commission aims to resolve land-related conflicts, uphold traditional land claims, and promote equitable land management. By doing so, it seeks to foster harmony among communities and ensure that the indigenous peoples’ rights and livelihoods are respected and preserved.
