
Christina of Sweden
Christina of Sweden (1626–1689) was a notable queen who ruled Sweden from 1632, when she was just six years old, until her abdication in 1654. Known for her intelligence, independence, and interest in arts and philosophy, she was unconventional for her time. She converted from Lutheranism to Catholicism and moved to Rome after stepping down, where she continued her scholarly pursuits.
