Chollima Movement

The Chollima Movement is a campaign initiated in North Korea in the late 1950s. Named after a mythical horse that can run incredibly fast, it aimed to accelerate economic growth and industrial production. Introduced by Kim Il-sung, it encouraged citizens to work harder and achieve rapid advancements in agriculture and industry, often emphasizing collective effort and patriotism. The movement sought to overcome economic challenges faced by the country post-Korean War, and it remains a symbol of North Korean self-reliance and revolutionary spirit. The term "Chollima" is still used in North Korean propaganda today.
