Chilean Communist Party

The Chilean Communist Party (Partido Comunista de Chile, PCCh) is a political organization that advocates for Marxist principles and social justice in Chile. Founded in 1922, it played a significant role in Chilean politics, especially during the presidency of Salvador Allende in the early 1970s, advocating for socialist reforms. After the military coup in 1973, the party was repressed but continued its activities underground and later returned to politics in the democratic transition of the 1990s. Today, it focuses on issues such as labor rights, social equality, and anti-capitalism, participating in coalitions like the Broad Front.
