Chikyu

Chikyu, meaning "Earth" in Japanese, is a scientific drilling ship operated by the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP). It is equipped to bore deep into the ocean floor to study Earth's interior, including its geology, seismic activity, and history.
