The Chevalier de Saint-Georges was a talented 18th-century French musician, composer, and swordsman born in 1745 to a wealthy French father and a Senegalese mother. Often called the "Black Mozart," he composed acclaimed music and was renowned for his exceptional skill as a violinist and conductor. Apart from his artistic achievements, he was a nobleman and a champion fencer.
