CFP Selection Committee

The College Football Playoff (CFP) Selection Committee is a group of experts responsible for choosing the four college football teams that compete for the national championship each season. Comprised of coaches, former players, and athletic directors, the committee evaluates teams based on their performance, strength of schedule, and head-to-head results. They meet weekly during the season to rank teams and ultimately select the top four to compete in two semifinal games, followed by the championship game. This process aims to ensure the most deserving teams have a chance to compete for the title.
