Cerebellar development
Cerebellar development is the process by which the cerebellum, a part of the brain that coordinates movement and balance, forms and matures. It begins early in fetal life with the creation of specialized cells, which then migrate and organize into layers. Over time, it grows through the proliferation of cells and the formation of connections with other brain regions. This development continues after birth, refining motor skills, coordination, and even some cognitive functions. Proper cerebellar development is essential for smooth, balanced movements and learning new motor tasks.
