Centrality Metrics

Centrality metrics are tools used to identify the most important or influential nodes within a network, such as social, communication, or transportation systems. They help analyze how information, influence, or resources flow through the network. For example, a highly central person might have many connections and influence, while a central location might be a key hub for travel. Different metrics focus on various aspects of importance, like how many connections a node has (degree centrality), how close it is to everything else (closeness centrality), or how often a node sits on the shortest paths between others (betweenness centrality).
