Central European Time (CET)
Central European Time (CET) is the standard time zone used in many European countries, including Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. It is one hour ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+1). During summer months, most of these countries switch to Central European Summer Time (CEST), which is UTC+2, by moving clocks forward one hour to take advantage of longer daylight hours. CET helps coordinate activities across different countries in Europe by providing a common reference time, making travel, communication, and business scheduling easier within the region.
