Cells: Neurons
Neurons are specialized cells in the nervous system that transmit information throughout the body. They communicate using electrical signals and chemical signals called neurotransmitters. Each neuron has a cell body, dendrites (which receive signals), and an axon (which sends signals). This network allows us to think, feel, move, and respond to the environment. Neurons are the building blocks of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves, forming complex circuits that process and relay information efficiently. Their unique structure and function are essential for every sensation, thought, and action we experience.
