Catur Suksma

Catur Suksma is a traditional Balinese concept that recognizes four fundamental human experiences or gifts: Nawa Suksma, which encompasses the senses, thoughts, and emotions, and is associated with the physical and mental aspects of life; Panca Saksi, the five perceptual faculties—sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch—that allow us to experience the world; and the connection to spiritual consciousness. Collectively, Catur Suksma emphasizes awareness of our inner and outer worlds, encouraging balance, mindfulness, and respectful harmony between ourselves, others, and the divine.
