Casting tape

Casting tape is a specialized material used to create supportive casts for broken bones or injuries. It consists of a flexible, fiberglass or polyester cloth coated with a resin that hardens when exposed to air or water. The tape is wrapped around the injured area to create a strong, lightweight cast that immobilizes the bone, allowing it to heal properly. Unlike traditional plaster casts, casting tape is more durable, water-resistant, and easier to apply. It is commonly used in medical settings due to its versatility and effectiveness in stabilizing fractures.
