Cassini-Huygens Mission
The Cassini-Huygens mission was a collaboration between NASA, ESA, and ASI to explore Saturn and its moons. Launched in 1997, Cassini was a spacecraft that orbited Saturn for over 13 years, studying its rings, atmosphere, and moons, revealing new details about its complex system. In 2005, the Huygens probe separated from Cassini and landed on Titan, one of Saturn's moons, providing direct insights into its surface and atmosphere. The mission expanded our understanding of planetary systems, the potential for life on other worlds, and the dynamic processes shaping Saturn and its moons. It concluded in 2017 with a planned deorbit into Saturn.
