Carolinas Campaign

The Carolinas Campaign was a series of military actions during the American Revolutionary War, from 1780 to 1781, involving the British attempt to regain control of the Southern colonies. Led by General Cornwallis, the British aimed to rally Loyalist support and cut off Southern Patriot resistance. The campaign included battles like Camden and Guilford Courthouse, and culminated in Cornwallis’s surrender at Yorktown in October 1781, effectively ending British hopes of retaining the colonies. This campaign was pivotal in shifting the momentum toward American independence.
