Carnot refrigerator

A Carnot refrigerator is an idealized model that describes the most efficient possible refrigeration cycle. It works by transferring heat from a cooler space to a warmer one using a theoretical process that involves compression, expansion, and heat exchange, all operating reversibly. This cycle sets the maximum efficiency achievable, meaning it uses the least amount of work (energy input) to move heat out of the area you're cooling. While no real refrigerator is perfect, the Carnot cycle provides a benchmark for understanding how efficiently refrigeration can, in theory, occur under ideal conditions.
