Caribbean Court of Justice

The Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) is the highest court for several Caribbean countries, serving as both an appellate court and, in some cases, a trial court. It ensures the consistent application of law across member states and acts as the constitutional court for some, ruling on constitutional matters. Established to promote regional integration and justice, the CCJ replaces the Privy Council for most legal appeals in the Caribbean. It helps uphold the rule of law, protect citizens’ rights, and support the legal stability of the region.
