CAR-T therapy
CAR-T therapy is an advanced cancer treatment that uses a patient’s own immune cells, called T-cells, to fight cancer. Doctors collect T-cells, modify them in a lab to better recognize and attack cancer cells, then infuse them back into the patient’s bloodstream. These engineered T-cells seek out and destroy cancer cells more effectively. CAR-T has shown promising results in certain blood cancers, like leukemia and lymphoma, offering new hope when other treatments have failed. It’s a personalized approach that harnesses the body’s immune system to target and eliminate cancer more precisely.
