CAR-T cell manufacturing

CAR-T cell manufacturing is a personalized treatment process for certain cancers. It begins by collecting a patient's T cells, which are a type of immune cell, from their blood. These cells are then genetically modified in a laboratory to express a receptor known as CAR (Chimeric Antigen Receptor) that enables them to better recognize and attack cancer cells. After the modification, the CAR-T cells are multiplied and then infused back into the patient’s body, where they seek out and destroy cancer cells. This innovative approach harnesses the body’s immune system to fight cancer more effectively.
