Capping Stack

A capping stack is an important safety device used in the oil and gas industry, specifically during drilling operations. It is a collection of equipment designed to control and contain the pressure from an uncontrolled release of oil or gas, often referred to as a blowout. When a well experiences excessive pressure, the capping stack can be deployed to seal off the well, preventing dangerous leaks and limiting environmental damage. This system acts as a critical safeguard to protect workers, the environment, and surrounding communities during drilling and production activities.
