Capon, Kuhn (Thomas Kuhn)
Capon refers to a type of castrated rooster, often raised for its flavorful meat. In contrast, Thomas Kuhn was a philosopher of science best known for his theory of paradigm shifts. He argued that scientific progress occurs through a series of revolutionary changes in understanding, rather than gradual evolution. When a prevailing scientific framework (or paradigm) encounters anomalies it cannot explain, a shift occurs, leading to a new paradigm. This process ultimately transforms how scientists view and investigate the world, illustrating that science is not always a straightforward accumulation of knowledge but often involves significant overhauls in thinking.
