Capoeira Brasil
Capoeira Brasil is a Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics, and music. Originating from African heritage, it was developed by enslaved people in Brazil as a form of cultural expression and self-defense. Practitioners, known as capoeiristas, engage in a playful exchange called a "jogo" within a circular formation called a "roda," accompanied by traditional instruments and songs. Capoeira emphasizes fluidity, rhythm, and creativity, promoting physical fitness and cultural identity, while also fostering a sense of community and respect among its participants.
