Cannabinoid compounds
Cannabinoids are chemical compounds found in the cannabis plant. The two most well-known cannabinoids are tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which produces a psychoactive effect or "high," and cannabidiol (CBD), which is non-psychoactive and often used for its potential health benefits, like reducing anxiety and inflammation. The body also produces cannabinoids naturally, known as endocannabinoids, which help regulate various functions such as mood, appetite, and pain. Cannabinoids interact with the body's endocannabinoid system, influencing a range of physiological processes and contributing to overall balance and health.
