Campanile di San Marco (Campanile of St. Mark)
The Campanile di San Marco, or St. Mark’s Campanile, is a prominent bell tower located in Venice, Italy, next to St. Mark's Basilica. Originally built in the 9th century, it stands about 98.6 meters (323 feet) tall and offers breathtaking views of the city and the lagoon. The tower, with its distinct red brick and a unique pyramidal top, has become a significant symbol of Venice. It has undergone several restorations, particularly after it collapsed in 1902. Visitors often climb its 300 steps or take an elevator to enjoy panoramic vistas of Venice and its historic architecture.
