Calico Jack
Calico Jack, born John Rackham in the early 18th century, was a notorious English pirate known for his colorful personality and distinctive flag featuring skull and crossed swords. Operating in the Caribbean, he was active during the Golden Age of Piracy, roughly 1718-1720. His reputation is partly due to his association with other famous pirates, like Anne Bonny and Mary Read. Unlike many pirates, he was known more for his flamboyant style and leadership than for extreme violence. He was eventually captured and executed, but his legacy endures as a symbol of pirate lore and adventure.
