Founded in 1972, the team has won one Stanley Cup championship, in 1989. The Flames are known for their passionate fan base and play their home games at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The team’s colors are red, yellow, and black, and their mascot is named "Harvey the Hound." The Flames have a storied rivalry with the Edmonton Oilers, known as the "Battle of Alberta."
